A well-used block and tackle on an overhead trolley supports a large crucible, allowing molten metal to be quickly moved from the furnace to waiting ingots and molds. Shelves along the wall hold smaller crucibles, tongs, and other implements for melting metal.
Not far from the pouring area, a large anvil sits beside a smaller opening into the furnace. From the assortmrnt of hammers, stakes, and tongs, the work area seems intended for blacksmithing and forging.
