Mirror of Rememberance
(Mind 4, Pattern (Entropy) 4, Life 4, Time 2, Corr 3,
Prime 2)
This Oriental mirror, bearing strong Taoist influence, at first appears to be crafted using a geometry that defies physics and mathematical equation; though reflective in nature, at cursory glance no image may be seen in the mirror. After several moments of close scrutiny, in a flash of insight the mirror reflects the memories, both remembered and forgotten, of the person looking into it.
For a year and a day (from 16 Jan 2005) the mirror will reflect in an instant the life-memories of anyone looking into the mirror, in much the same fashion that a person on the verge of death sees their life flashing before their eyes. The mirror will repair damaged neural connections as needed, restore lost memory retrieval paths, and gently remind the person of who they are, what they've done, and how they've gotten to where they are.
How it works: Time establishes the viewing link between past and present. Pattern (Entropy) in conjunction with Life and Mind determines artificial variations in the physical and mental makeup of the personality and the instant in which said variance was imposed, giving the effect a place to begin the repair. If needed, Life repairs any physical damage to the brain, while Mind recalls and restores the memories of a lifetime.
