Good Night Kiss
(a.k.a. Good Night's Sleep)
** Mind ** Life (** Prime ** Forces optional)
A good night's sleep can make a world of difference, whether dealing with a
problem situation, a physical ailment, or a child (or adult) too tired to cope.
Simply telling someone to go to sleep is much easier said than done; in the case
of small children, mention of the dreaded "s" word often makes them even more
frantic to stay awake. However, a soft kiss or gentle caress of a forehead can
do wonders to encourage someone to relax, close their eyes, and sleep.
How it Works:
Mind creates subliminal hints of drowsiness, safety, and mentally sends the
thought processes on the gentle slide to slumber.
Life reduces muscular tension, relaxes the body, and begins the body's
transition to slumber. While asleep, it also may serve to correct minor ailments
and restore the body to optimal (or near-optimal) health, effectively increasing
the metabolism and normal healing rate up to four times, with a corresponding
decrease in recovery time and an increase in appetite.
Forces, if used, creates a comfortable level of warmth and subtly redirects the gravitational forces to reduce pressure points and eliminate morning stiffness and backache, creating a level of support roughly the equivalent of memory foam or an adjustable firmness mattress.
Feel free to substitute an expensive mattress and a snuggly blanket, if available.
If the Forces option is used,
Prime fuels the pattern.
Base Difficulty: 5 (Coincidental)
Base Success: 2
