No See 'Em
*** Corr (** Prime, ** Entropy)
Generally effective against scrying eyes, this rote increases the "disconnection" between two separate points to thwart remote viewing.
Correspondence may either connect two points through the "All-Space" or increase the difficulty of making that connection. This standard ward against scrying subtracts from the number of successes by the scrying party; an extended ritual strengthens the number of successes required to "see" into a protected area. By adding prime to the rote, the barrier becomes self-sustaining and self-restoring. Introduction of Entropy allows for a contingency effect if the veil is breached.
Note that while this rote usually prevents people from scrying secrets from a lab or workshop, this rote has been useful as a diversionary tactic when cast on an area with absolutely nothing of interest; after all, an area masked so diligently MUST be hiding something, right?
