Much to the disbelief of healers and general annoyance of team leaders and party members, some people seem to have an unhealthy aversion to any kind of supernatural healing. These people, while conscious, refuse to consent to any kind of aid that does not involve the body naturally healing itself. For those whom cannot allow themselves to be healed, for whatever reason, but cannot afford the months of recuperation required to heal debilitating wounds, something that allows them to take control of their own recovery process to hasten it along may be just what the doctor ordered.

The herbs and berries used in making this brew improve the awareness and control of the body's healing process. Partakers of the Self-Healing Booster can gain incredible control over the inner workings of their their own bodies to to recover at a vastly accelerated rate as their bodily control allow them to more efficiently re-knit flesh and fight off infections. Roll Stamina + Perception at difficulty 7, (though the current wound penalty does apply to the dice pool, unless . Every success reduces the time for the wound to heal by one stage on the healing chart below. The character must spend his time resting comfortably (preferably under some sort of medical care) while the brew works.

As an example, Charlie-Chewtoy has been Mauled and brought to the medical bay (Med 4). Healing time to "merely" wounded for this card-carrying member of the Brotherhood of No Funny Stuff Allowed would ordinarily be a week. He is persuaded to drink the Self Healing Booster and rolls his Stamina + Perception (minus two dice for being mauled). With 3 successes, he heals from Mauled to Wounded in one day. With a subsequent dose on the next day, he could then roll again to reduce the time required to heal from Wounded to Injured, potentially healing the next level in a day. Healing normally from injured to hurt, hurt to bruised, and bruised to no damage, Charlie Chew-Toy has fully recovered after five days instead of almost 2 weeks.
