Examination/Treatment Room

Perhaps it's the warm lighting. Maybe the responsibility lies with the cozy furniture arrangement. Something about this small, windowless space sooths and feels comfortable, rather than invoking a state of claustrophobic panic.

A low bookshelf , flanked by an office chair, holds issues of National Geographic and other travel and exploration-related journals. A comfortable chaise lounge occupies the wall adjacent to the bookshelf. A low table provides a handy flat area for the occupants of either the the chair or the chaise.

The only door out of the room leads back to the main corridor.
