I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we've figured out why you've been feeling ill. The bad news is that you DO, indeed, have a virus. The good news? It's just a bad cold and a sinus infection... rest, drink fluids, and you're well on your way to recovery.

By most reckoning, the etheric pattern of a virus or bacteria marks it as a simple organism. This rote alters the structure of the invading microbe, changing the disease from something fatal or horribly debilitating to something mildly annoying but readily treatable with a day or two of rest, fluids, and perhaps a dose or two of  an over-the-counter medication. Each success rolled reduces the toxicity rating of the disease by two.
