The White Room

A sensor turns on the lights as you enter the room. Something about the light feels different, however, though it's hard to say exactly what feels different about it. The oddly shaped bulbs give off a warmth that has nothing to do with heat, providing constant, gentle pressure that has nothing to do with touch. Is it possible that light can be heard and felt throughout the body?

Though white is not normally a warm color, this room has nonetheless been painted in a warm white. A marvelously comfortable sectional sofa dominates the room, providing seating for four to six people, or a place for a person to comfortable sprawl with another seated beside. A low coffee table provides a ready place to deposit reading materials or a drink cup.

The window in the room offers a view of the woods in front of the house, as well as the wicker furniture on the porch. Other than the light and the relatively small size, there is nothing to distinguish this room from any other sitting room or parlor.

The only door out of the room leads back to the waiting room.
