This blend of rare herbs, carefully harvested and blended with a hair, scale, or feather, rearranges the physical form of the person drinking it into the shape of the donor. Thus, a person could assume the appearance of another person or species for a short time.

Note that while this brew may provide the outward appearance of the target person or creature, it does not impart any of the knowledge or special abilities of the target creature. The result is still quite a human, with an entirely human perspective, despite the appearance. Thus, shifting one’s form into that of an eagle or raven does not automatically impart a working knowledge of how to fly; as any eaglet can attest, that skill must be learned. Becoming a wolf, a bear, or any creature does not automatically impart the instincts or the ability to communicate with other such creatures, except perhaps on a very primitive level, though an animal form can render human speech all but impossible until the effects wear off.

At the time of creation, one success allows shifting features of the same species and sex, with no more than 10% difference in mass. Three successes allow shifting to a form with a mass up to four times that of the subject. Extremely large difference in mass require 6 or more successes. (Take note: shifting to a whale out of water could be very bad!)
