Skylights offer an unimpeded view of the stars, giving an illusion of being outdoors. A small fireplace at the end of the loft shares a chimney from the larger fireplaces below and casts a friendly glow across the floor. Near the fireplace, two double papasan chairs face each other. A basket-chair hangs from a beam to provide cozy seating for up to five to chat by the fireside, with an unobstructed view through the rail of the lodge tables below.
Opposite the rail, plain screens surround a thick double futon on a surprisingly springy wooden frame. Warm pine nightstands flank either side of the bed, resting on the woven grass mats covering the floor. Shelves and a small wardrobe are the only additional furnishings in the room.
