Enhanced Vision Goggles
At first glance, these goggles appear to be ordinary 3rd generation night vision goggles. Lightweight and easy to use these goggles are just the thing for your next night-time nature walk. The standard 9 volt battery provides about 8 hours of use and allows viewing up to 200 feet under most conditions.
But wait, there's more! These goggles combine the best of both worlds, magick and technology, to put functionality and unsurpassed versitility within the reaach of anyone. Almost.
A simple rotary switch provides five settings, OFF being furthest to the left. The first position uses ordinary night vision/light amplification; no surprises here. When turned to the second position, the goggles become sensitive to the entire spectrum of electromagnetic energy fields, translating the spectrum of electromagnetic fields from DC to gamma rays into a balck-and-white visual image. On the third setting, the goggles translate Kirlian fields to visual images, giving the wearer a view of the life-energy surround a living or once-living object. The fourth setting uses ultrasonic waves to create an image of objects around the wearer; however, due to doppler phase shifting, distances to objects moving in excess of 10 mph tend to be much harder to judge.
The fifth setting requires the wearer to push in the switch while turning it to preclude accidental use. This fifth setting shifts the viewer's sight to see quantum event probabilities rather than discrete events; that is, the wearer sees everywhere an object has a change of existing within the bounds of its constraints... simultaneously. Unless the viewer has been trained to veiw quantum space, looking into the mind-wrenching nature of quantum space visual may cause extreme disorientation, stun, or induce insanity in the minds of the wearer.
Needless to say, effective combat by a person standing in discrete space while looking at quantum space is all but impossible unless the target of the attack happens to be a quantum probability wave. However, this setting does allow the wearer to locate objects or individuals having been "misplaced" in a quantum wave state... changing them back from quantum waves to discrete particles is another thing entirely! (You guessed it... you can look, but you can't touch!)
