The pebble's song remains constant, unchanging, despite whomever the audience should be, unmindful of the actions or reactions of people in the world around it. For a number of days, the pebble will play a theme-song, heard only by the person holding the pebble. This song resonates within the emotional centers, keeping the "student of the pebble" at a steady emotional state. The pebble reduces the number of successes made in any attempt to affect the emotions by the number of successes rolled at casting. In the case of a self-imposed change (overwhelming awe, losing self control, frenzy, etc.) the pebble may provide one additional die per success rolled to resist.
