Surrounded by asphalt, neatly boxed in by the lines of a single parking space, it's not initially obvious whether the Vixen is a large van with a BMW emblem, or a little RV with a BMW emblem. Either way, despite the BMW emblem, the parking lot seems unimpressed. Good thing, too, because people tend to get rather upset when a vehicle carves out ruts in the pavement, whether or not the vehicle is wearing a BMW emblem.
Beyond the parking lot is a park. The usual park-like accoutrements fill the park: statues, birds, grass, flowers, trees, sidewalks perfect for skateboarding upon which no skateboarding is allowed, soccer fields, drinking fountains from which no water can be had.
Representatives from the Brotherhood of Unemployed Persons Local 319 work their assigned corners. In dirty jeans and faded army surplus clothing, each holds the mandatory hand-lettered sign that advertises "Unemployed -- Will work for food". Should a generous individual actually stop and offer employment in exchange for food, said individual would discover that the so-called unemployed person has no intention of leaving that corner before the end of the day or working at anything more strenuous than holding up a sign. By collecting donations from people who haven't figured out how quickly donations of change and small bills add up, the average member of Unemployed Persons Local 319 often earns more than the people donating money to the homeless.
