Teahouse

 Teahouse... of the Soul?

Made from hand-hewn boards, the teahouse provides all the basic functions of a house. It has room to sleep: a folding futon and frame on the ground floor, and hammocks and straw pallets up in the loft. It has places to sit: the futon inside, or two sling-back chairs on the porch. It has a place to prepare food and coffee: the stone fireplace beside the house, and a small hibachi grill. It has an ample supply of cold, clear water from a well. it has a wall-mounted rack, upon which are glass jars filled with teas and herbs for teas, as well as a jar of coffee beans. It has minimal counter space, upon which can be found a mortar and pestal and a hand-operated spice and coffee mill. And, when it’s time to go, there is a rustic latrine in the form of an outhouse with a composting toilet behind the teahouse.

From the teahouse, one path winds its way through trees to the north, another curves and winds to the northeast.
