Once used by monks to help supply the Cong Abbey kitchens, the walls of the fishing house (and the walls of the abbey) still remain, providing many photo opportunities and a chance to reflect on the past. Maybe even a chance to go fishing. It has lots of running water, though it has no plumbing.

While many paths lead to Cong, and other local point of interest, this as as far north as this tour extends. The only paths we're concerned with are the ones extending south towards Ashford Castle, or up the hill to.the abbey.
